Joseph is placed in a pit, wrongly accused of seducing the queen. For years, he stays in darkness. During a storm, the princess, who likes him, gives him food from a basket tied to a rope. Lightning strikes and the princess drops the basket. The food is eaten by rats. Joseph cries out, “Lord, what are you doing to me?”

EXCERPT FROM THE NETFLIX MOVIE – JOSEPH: KING OF DREAMS
The Lord is silent. Joseph slips on a wet rock, and he falls hard, while attempting to climb up.
Joseph – What have I done wrong? (After two days of discerning.) Lord, you know better than I. You know the way.
The Pharaoh summons Joseph to interpret his dream, 7 sickly cows devouring 7 healthy cows, 7 sickly vines devouring 7 healthy vines. Joseph tells the Pharaoh there will be 7 years of bounty followed by 7 years of famine.
He tells the Pharaoh to set aside portions of the bounty for the coming famine. Joseph marries the princess and becomes the right hand of the Pharaoh.
LORD, YOU KNOW BETTER THAN I. YOU KNOW THE WAY. I SURRENDER MYSELF TO YOU IN ALL MY CRISES. YOU ARE MY WISDOM.
