============ foodforthesoul ============ THE 2004 ASIAN TSUNAMI – the asian tsunami of december 2004 killed a quarter of a million people it was set off by a sudden rise by 200 meters of a 400 kilometer stretch of the ocean floor off the coast of sumatra – it was the equivalent of 3,000 hiroshima bombs or a dozen five-megaton bombs enough to annihilate half of north america it sent waves with ocean speeds of up to 900 kph land speeds of up to 20 kph and heights of up to 50 meters going inland up to four kilometers from shore – scientists report that for the first time in documented history an earthquake went beyond the richter scale such super-earthquakes are caused by a combination of mega-forces within our planet interacting with mega-forces within our solar system not to mention unknown galactic forces scientists predict there are more to come in the next few decades – there are two ways to prepare for disasters on the physical plain we enhance the science of prediction we improve communication early warning systems we institute emergency procedures and drills on the spiritual plain we pray hard and ask for forgiveness for our sins we give and share what we have with others we talk to Him who creates and aborts disasters – eastwind – with all the disasters happening earthquakes and tsunamis floods and hurricanes financial and polar-ice meltdowns fear nothing if you are in the Lord for He will protect you as He promised if you walk on His path – –
