– ____________________________________ – it took the Church 20 odd years to confirm that the messages of Our Lady of Fatima are authentic – if many still do not believe them what more the messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje which have not yet been confirmed – the message of Our Lady of Medjugorje for august warns of a “world ruling evil” but adds that we can change everything and heal the world with our prayers and good works – ____________________________________ – a strong and heavy wind was rending the mountains but the Lord was not in the wind there was an earthquake but the Lord was not in the earthquake there was fire but the Lord was not in the fire then there was a soft whisper and Elijah hid his face in his cloak and stood at the entrance of the cave – 1 kings 19:9.11-13 – the God of punishment speaks through tsunamis and earthquakes reminding us to return to His fold – the God of mercy whispers softly to our ear that we are in His fold – that we should have faith through the most violent storms for He will not forsake us – He is there for us until the storm is over but only if we seek Him – eastwind – ____________________________________ – the boat carrying the apostles was being tossed by the wind Jesus came towards them, walking on the sea the apostles cried out in fear – it is a ghost Jesus said – it is I, do not be afraid – peter said – Lord, command me to come to You on the water and Jesus replied – come, and peter walked on the water but when he saw how big the waves were he hesitated and began to sink – he said – Lord, save me, and Jesus stretched out His hand and caught peter, and said – oh you of little faith, why did you doubt? – how many times are we like peter scared that He will not grant an urgent request peter naturally had faith that was why he was able to walk on water – his infinitesimal doubt was just a reflex from feeling the awesome power of nature but it was enough to undo the strings that tied him to the Lord we must be pure of heart in our faith – Lord, strengthen my faith in You without Your grace the strongest among us will sink with Your grace the weakest among us will walk on water be beside me at that moment of hesitation –
