THE BEAST WHICH SHALL RULE THE EARTH

The idea of a worldwide currency using skin-identification credit card, which is now an emerging technology, is hinted by the Bible as the ‘mark of the beast’. “(The beast) also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark.” (Revelation 13:16-17)

The Book of Revelation writes about a future ‘global government’ which will be a vicious and totalitarian ‘beast’ controlling every individual on planet Earth. “(The beast) was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.” (Revelation 13:7-8).

A very recent message dated August 2, 2011 from Our Lady of Medjugorje, which seconds the motion of the Revelation prophecy, goes “An evil that cannot be stopped by individuals wants to begin to rule in the world and to destroy it”. Our Virgin Mary gives a clear warning through Medjugorje visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo.

“But, according to God’s will, all together, with my Son, you can change everything and heal the world”, the Virgin’s message added, promising forgiveness and mercy. Our Blessed Mother is giving us a global call to prayer to avert this “world-ruling evil”. Although Medjugorje still does not have the Church imprimatur unlike Fatima, which took 20 years, Our Lady of Medjugorje has many followers worldwide. Many pilgrims have been healed in Medjugorje through the years.

With apologies to the nations concerned, I have in fact coined a perhaps-ridiculous phrase for the BEAST, the acronym for “British European American Strategic Treaty”. This sounds comic, but why not?

–

The speed at which almost a dozen Arab nations experienced violent revolts in a span of a single year reveals how contagious revolution is in the minds of men who have been bearing the brunt of hardship for so long. When one sees a neighbor scream and regimes fall to their knees, one realizes street protests are a good option.

If we are to look for ‘signs’ or ‘omens’ that point to the future, perhaps the recent spate of riots in Britain on a nationwide scale is one. About 1,800 have been arrested as of this writing. They are angry because of the government’s spending cuts that have increased unemployment and eroded social benefits. If this can happen in a powerful affluent European country like Britain, can it happen in America on a much larger scale?

–

Right this moment, the American public is starting to simmer on the same reasons – spending cuts, unemployment, health benefits trimmed, taxes increased, which will reach staggering proportions in a few years in line with the government’s program to pay off a $14 trillion debt in the next ten years. Those trillions will have to come from the common citizens, and they have a boiling point. When this is reached, the only ingredient left is for a charismatic leader or a respected organization to rally everyone until sporadic knee-jerk protests evolve from a trickle to an avalanche, until they create a monster. Is a massive continent-wide protest in the streets possible in America? No one knows, but if and when it happens, it will send ripples across the globe on the same principle as the contagion of the pan-Arab revolts.

Here is a grim scenario. Revolts in Islamic nations spill over to Asia and worldwide, including Christian nations with large Muslim minorities such as France and England. Anarchy in American streets triggers a deep dive in global stock markets, induce global recession and more revolts against hunger, which will spread worldwide like wildfire.

–

And then affluent powerful nations beleaguered by anarchy on a grand scale unite to form the beginnings of a global government with an absolute totalitarian character, in fulfillment perhaps of Biblical prophecies and Marian messages. It sounds like a prophecy of doom, unlikely to many, but political scientists say this is not impossible. It may take some time, but to them, we are headed in that direction. The only unknown is the speed of evolving events and the mechanisms that will trigger the ‘beast’.
