The next ‘prophecy’ is a possible limited US-China naval confrontation in the Spratley-Paracels, that can degrade into total war in the South China Sea. In that war, the Philippines will bear the brunt of casualties in population areas near identified US bases and facilities. One hot-shot trigger-happy pilot can start the war, even if Beijing, and Washington are super-cautious.

Prayers and a return to the Lord can avert this war. A Paulinian nun in a trance spoke in behalf of the Blessed Virgin, “Pray, pray, pray. I can no longer hold back the hand of my Son.” This war or any other mega-disaster is the hand of the Lord. We often ignore warnings.

What are China’s Long Term Intentions in the South China Sea?

China’s long-term strategy to dominate the South China Sea comes in two phases based on the ‘Island Chain’ concept (see map). Benham Rise is a key Phase 2 target. Admiral Liu Huaqing, naval strategist and former People’s Liberation Army (PLA) commander, said in 1982 that “it would be necessary for China to control the First and Second Island Chains by 2010 and 2020. The PLA Navy must be ready to challenge US domination over the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean in 2040. If China is able to dominate the Second Island Chain seven years from now (it has been 35 years now), the East China Sea will become the backyard of the PLA Navy.”

A Want China Times analyst said that, “Within seven years, China will be able to control the Second Island Chain (Source – Qianjiang Evening News – china-sets-eyes-on-benham-rise). The world will never permit China to own the vast South China Sea. There will be a bitter World War III to prevent that. The ambitious ‘Island Chain’ concept was crafted by eager soldiers, not by saner government civilians.
