I prayed to you while I was at Cagayan de Oro Betania Retreat House and asked to be healed of my chronic pain which would not give me rest. When I came to Manila on the third week of May, I found myself healed. It was a miracle. Unfortunately, although I enjoyed three pain-free days, I was not gentle on myself, I forgot to say thank you, and I also did not change my lifestyle. So the pain returned. But let it be known to all that I was healed, but through my own fault the pain returned. Please give me a second chance, Mother Ignacia. With God, I know nothing is impossible. He is in ICU after an emergency operations for ruptured appendix that has caused sepsis to set-in. What complicated the operation is that only 23% of his heart is functioning. I request for prayers for his healing. He is celebrating his birthday today and he is in the ICU with so many tubes inserted including a tube into his lungs through his mouth for oxygen. Sr. Raquel, I am respectfully requesting prayers for the following special intentions: 1. For my Mom (RMA) who underwent surgery after a recent diagnosis of breast cancer. I pray for her speedy recovery and for the Lord to heal her not just physically but emotionally and spiritually, as well. After further testing done on the breast that they took out, they found out that the lump was bigger than they had originally estimated and that she was at stage 2 (not stage 1 as originally diagnosed). I pray for the cancer cells to be totally wiped out and that she will not need chemotherapy. I ask that she will continue to have a strong faith in God’s goodness despite this ordeal that she is going through. 2. For the whole family, especially my Dad (VZA), I ask for strength and acceptance of God’s will. I pray that we may remain positive and be able to continue to provide support (whether it be emotionally or financially) to anyone in need. I ask that God bring us all together, to reconnect, and to strengthen our ties especially in this time of adversity. 3. For my only child (JVAO)–who is trying to join in the military but has encountered a ‘road block’ with medical waivers due to allergies diagnosed when he was a young child. The treatment involves many days of a dangerous IV anti-fungal. I do not want to leave my daughter at this time as she desperately needs me. She has already lost her father and daughter and is angry with God. Losing me would be the final straw so I ask for God’s miraculous mercy that if possible, the infection clears up without the antibiotics and the stone passes on it’s own without surgery. Please Dear Lord, do not let my daughter lose her final family member, she is not strong enough and has been already so destroyed. She has no one left in this world, except for her grandmother who is elderly. She is desperate for love, but is heartbroken and fearful of losing me too. Please heal me and make me well again so that I can be there for her and help lead her back to You. DAY 12 Dear Sister Raquel, I am Evelyn from Tuguegarao, Cagayan. My Sister FLORIDA who resides in Sorsogon, is now very sick. She is suffering from ovarian cancer and have already undergone several chemotheraphy treatment but she is not getting well. She already went there at Mother Ignacia Healing Center last May 10, 2013 and stayed there from 8am to 5pm and was already prayed over by a Sister there. She is supposed to come back the next day, Saturday, for the bathing but unfortunately she was not able to make it because she was already very sick. Now, she is confined at Manila Doctors Hospital. ************* APPENDIX ************* PRAYER REQUEST PROTOCOL. 1 Make your request short and do not post repeatedly as it results in confusion and double entries we cannot monitor. 2 English is better so non-Filipinos prayer warriors can understand your prayer requests. 3 Put a subject title “prayer request” to avoid being identified as a spam. ‘No subject’ are not read but deleted. 4 We protect the privacy of requesters. Email addresses and last names are not published. This does not change the efficacy of the prayers. 5 The ministry mainly accepts prayer requests from individuals. We cannot accept a large stream of requests from a single source which has its own prayer grouping and forwards requests to us one by one. We cannot handle this kind of volume. We prefer the requests to first be consolidated into one document and sent to us a single request. THE ESSENCE OF PRAYER AND PAIN The Lord sanctifies all who reads this bulletin, prayer requesters, prayer warriors, and readers.
