For seven long decades, Cardinals suppressed the devotion to Our Lady Mediatrix of All Grace. They also suppressed Filipino bishops, priests, and nuns who supported it. But, ironically, the devotion spread all the more like wild fire. Our Lady prevailed by a stroke of divine grace. Here is the story of how it happened?

The Filipino clergy fell silent, threatened with reprisals. Four pro-Mediatrix Bishops/Archbishops of Lipa, vocally supporting the Mediatrix devotion, were exiled to remote dioceses through the decades. Statues, novena pamphlets, the miraculous rose petals, and the diary of visionary Sister Teresing were all destroyed. The lack of evidence for Vatican investigations led to a stand-still.
With the Filipino clergy silenced and helpless, the laity, out of reach from the clutches of the Cardinals, took over, defying the suppression. They organized federations, and distributed statues and pamphlets nationwide. The Filipino Church is noted worldwide today as extremely resilient. Pope Francis looks up to the Philippine Church in its key role in the so-called ‘Third Millennium Evangelization’.
St. Pope John Paul II, in his Ecclesia in Asia (November 1999) wrote that the Church’s Global Evangelization thrust had 3 phases 1) First Millennium 31 AD to 1000 AD in the Old World, 2) Second Millennium 1000 AD to 2000 AD in the New World, the era of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal, and 3) Third Millennium 2000 AD to 3000 AD in Asia. The third phase saw the emergence of Our Lady Mediatrix of All Grace in the Carmelite Convent in Lipa City, Philippines.

The Mediatrix is considered by Marian scholars as a continuity of Fatima. The Mediatrix statue in Lipa shed tears of blood when Fatima visionary Sr. Lucia was dying, according to the book Mary, Mediatrix of All Grace, by Rene C. de Jesus. Also, the miracle of the sun in Fatima in 1917 was replicated exact to the day and hour in 2017, in Matalam, North Cotabato during a concelebrated Mass on its 100-year anniversary. (read about it – https://tribune.net.ph/index.php/2021/01/06/mediatrix-miracle-of-the-sun-2/
Satan, in panic, aware that the Mediatrix devotion had a key geopolitical role in the evangelization of Asia, especially China, the emerging superpower, tortured Sr. Teresing but failed to separate her from the Virgin. Before she died, Sr. Teresing wrote a second diary describing the Satanic tortures (read the diary at https://tribune.net.ph/index.php/2020/09/23/diary-of-mediatrix-visionary-sr-teresing/).
The book by de Jesus, who conducted extensive interviews, also describes these tortures in graphic detail. The “conversion” of China is the key to peace in Asia, particularly in the powder keg situation of the West Philippine Sea, where there is a potential naval confrontation between the two superpowers.

Satan’s agents announced that Mediatrix devotion was not allowed by the Church because the authenticity of the apparitions was still in question. Many devotees were shocked and confused. Momentarily, the devotion was quelled. But the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) later announced that, while authenticity was not yet determined, in the absence of a Vatican decree, people were free to practice the devotion. Thus, the devotion went viral, unstoppable, like an irresistible force against an immovable object.
The shower of miraculous rose petals containing religious images, like the Holy Trinity and the Black Madonna, fell from the sky at the Carmelite Convent, witnessed by thousands, just like the thousands who witnessed the miracle of the dancing sun at Fatima in 1917.

The triumph of the Blessed Virgin over Satan today was prophesied in the Book of Genesis 3:15. God spoke to Lucifer and told him, “I will put enmity between you and the woman (Our Lady), and between your offspring (Satan) and hers (Jesus). Her offspring shall crush your head, and you will bruise his heel.”
